Water on a Drum Machine
I am starting to dream of an audio drama (or a film) completely sound designed using synthesis. Footsteps, wind, city ambience, insects, etc. Sort of like animated sound.
A few weeks ago I went tubing down a river in Montana, and I've been thinking about how I would go about synthesizing water. Whenever I am doing dishes or standing in the shower, I try to break down what I am hearing in synthesis terms. Water seems to be a very complex mix of multiple noise sources, resonance, and even some sub bass. This is an early attempt, and I'll definitely be trying a few different types of water in the future.
